BlackRock has appointed Dixit Joshi as Managing Director for Middle East Technology and Advisory Solutions and Digital Assets, based in Dubai, as the asset manager builds out its regional presence.

Joshi joins from Credit Suisse, where he served as CFO during the bank's combination with UBS. His move to BlackRock places him at the centre of the firm's push to expand across capital markets, technology and digital assets in a region it sees as increasingly central to its growth plans.

What the role covers

In his new position, Joshi will work to grow BlackRock's Middle East platform across capital markets and technology, including its Aladdin investment management system. He will also advance the firm's digital assets strategy across the Middle East and Asia Pacific, and work with regional teams to deepen relationships with clients in the market.

A three-decade career in finance

Joshi brings more than 30 years of experience across finance, risk, treasury, trading and capital markets. Before Credit Suisse, he held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, including Group Treasurer and Global Head of Prime Finance. Earlier in his career he worked at Barclays and Credit Suisse First Boston. He is also a former board member of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA).
