Staying in the city this summer doesn't mean skipping the restaurants everyone's been raving about. A number of Dubai's most talked-about kitchens have rolled out set menus, happy hours and discounts through the hotter months, and the deals are worth building an evening around.
At Girl & the Goose, inside Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel, a Central American-inspired summer menu runs until August 31. Lunch is two courses for Dhs119, while dinner stretches to three courses for Dhs249 per person.
Over in DIFC, Barrafina at Gate Village 01 keeps things simple with Spanish dishes and drinks at Dhs35 each, daily from 4pm to 7pm — an easy stop for anyone wandering the district after work.
Mimi Kakushi at Four Seasons Resort in Jumeirah 2 has introduced a Yūshoku dinner set menu, three courses for Dhs290, available from 6pm onwards and running until the end of August.
For something by the water at sunset, Lana Lusa at SO/Uptown Dubai serves three-course dinners for Dhs165 daily between 6pm and 8pm — timed neatly for that golden-hour window.
Up on Level 54 of Address Sky View Hotel, Cé La Vi Dubai has two summer options: a three-course menu for Dhs125, or a tasting menu for Dhs250 that includes two starters, a main, dessert, and a glass of prosecco on arrival.
Beachside and beyond
Beach clubs haven't been left out. Gigi Rigolatto at J1 Beach in Jumeirah 1 is offering complimentary sunbeds from Monday to Thursday for anyone ordering food or drink — a straightforward way to turn lunch into a full afternoon by the sea.
The MAINE Beach House Restaurant on Palm Jumeirah is cutting 50% off its à la carte food and drinks menu from Monday to Wednesday, between 12pm and 8pm, making it one of the more generous offers on this list.
And at Dubai Harbour Pier Club, Son of a Fish is running a Greek lunch set menu for Dhs155 on weekdays between 1pm and 3pm, with the option to add a wine pairing for those who want to linger a little longer over the meal.
Between DIFC's happy hour, Palm Jumeirah's discounted afternoons and the sunset sittings dotted across the city, there's enough here to fill a summer's worth of long lunches and slow dinners without straying far from home.
