Seven Dubai-based technology startups pitched their businesses to potential investors in a session organized by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Oraseya Capital, with several advancing to the next stage of evaluation for possible funding.

The event was designed to connect early and growth-stage technology companies directly with Oraseya Capital, which manages a USD 136.14 million (AED 500 million) technology fund. Through its SANDBOX Investment Program, the fund can commit anywhere from roughly USD 150,000 (AED 550,000) to USD 3 million (AED 11 million) into technology startups ranging from pre-seed to Series B stage.

Who pitched

The seven startups that took part were Arakan, Duno, YOUNEA, Riayatech, Avelin, SENSI, and Cogniver, each working in a distinct corner of the digital economy.

Arakan builds digital tools to help businesses manage compliance and corporate requirements. Duno has developed operational intelligence technology that helps lenders assess small and medium-sized enterprises. YOUNEA lets businesses deploy branded AI agents across voice, chat, and WhatsApp channels.

Riayatech is focused on HealthTech, building solutions for healthcare operations and patient journeys. Avelin offers sovereign AI, with deployment options spanning cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments for organizations with strict data control needs. SENSI is working on digital scent and sensory technology through what it calls an Internet of Fragrances concept. Cogniver uses autonomous AI agents to automate workflows and business processes for organizations.

Why this matters for Dubai's startup scene

For founders in Dubai, direct pitching sessions like this one offer a rare shortcut past the usual networking grind to reach a fund that already has capital earmarked for technology startups at their stage. Several of the seven companies that pitched have now moved forward in Oraseya Capital's evaluation process, putting them a step closer to securing investment.

A representative from the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy or Oraseya Capital said: "We are focused on providing practical and effective pathways that enable technology startups to connect directly with potential investors and access capital and expertise that can support their growth and expansion."

That framing points to the broader intent behind the initiative: rather than a one-off event, it is meant to function as a repeatable pathway linking Dubai's technology founders with the capital and expertise needed to scale, spanning sectors from compliance and lending to healthcare, AI agents, and sensory technology.

For Dubai's wider digital economy, the range of startups involved, from HealthTech to sovereign AI to scent technology, reflects how varied the pool of local technology ventures seeking growth capital has become, with SME lending tools sitting alongside AI-driven automation and niche sensory innovation under the same funding umbrella.
